Are you looking to generate a Random Number from 1 to 1000? for this, we use the =randbetween Function in Excel to Generate a Random Number.

This can be used in different ways.

- you need to select a Random Number ( Integer) from the list it can be from 1 to 1000. Each time it will produce a Random Number every time it’s updated.
- If you are looking to make a Column Unique with a random Number for your requirement we can use it with the =Concatenate Function to Randomize with Concatenating with another column.

## Syntax

**=Randbetween(bottom,top)**

e.g

=randbetween(1,1000) Press enter to generate a Random Number.

Every time sheet is opened or a value is changed Random Function changes values

if you don’t want the results of Randbetween Function Select Forumula & Press F9.

Randbetween Function with combination with Concatenate to make a list of Value Unique.

## Syntax

=CONCATENATE(A8,RANDBETWEEN(1,10)

A8 here is the Cell Number

Everything in A Column ( A8 to A13) is Randomized with Values from 1 to 10 as we selected Bottom as 1 & Top as 10 in Randbetween Function. Just drag the formula till the end or till you want to mix it with numbers.
